This doesn't seem to be showing unless you click on the June archive link. Not sure what is going on with that>>>

He's thinking the big thoughts. They're just not the same big thoughts that you were thinking.

Funny, how we repeat over and over I-love-yous and other words to this effect to kids, when the phrase just flies right over their heads, and we often forget to repeat it as often to the people our age (spouses, relatives, friends), who could actually make sense of it.

You know..I have conversations like that too...but with my husband. DO NOT talk to him when he is watching Pinks!

I always wonder when and how little ones come to an understanding of that phrase. It's different in every family.

Soon enough he'll be bandying the phrase about like an old pro (but unlike an old pro he'll mean it).

Ben says it to us, often unprovoked, and even though he may not have a firm understanding of its meaning, it sure feels good to hear him say it.

You'll melt. Absolutely.
